    Getting heads a number of times in a row is a simple probability calculation - however the chance of the next coin toss being heads - is always going to be 0.5.
    Coins have a physical thickness, therefore it is completely possible that a coin could land on its edge.
    Coins also have patterns on them so one side may have more material than the other, therefore the centre of gravity may not be exactly in the physical centre of the coin.

    If you ignore a few facts, then sure, the probability is 0.5.
