In the end the UK will end up like Norway or Switzerland. This was clear from the very beginning.

Great. If we end up like Norway and Switzerland.

    They are rich, and happy!

We want out of the EU, because we are sick of their rules and sick of the European Court of Justice being all powerful. And that it takes an ice age to do anything because of the 27 other members.

So... WTO rules, and 'rules' is the operative word. Yes, we'll be bound by WTO's rules, which will be upheld by the WTO's Dispute Settlement Body (and the problem with the ECJ is it has the words 'court' and 'justice' in it), and agreement is needed by 164 other members. Not sure when the last elections to the WTO parliament were?

The problem with Ultra-Brexiters championing the WTO route is simply they don't understand they wish to replace one supranational body with a far worse one. The UK will be in front of that Dispute Settlement Body so often over the first few years it will be unreal, as other members dispute our tariffs - even if they mirror the EU tariffs.

The one good thing about the European Economic Area is that it helps us sidestep the WTO rules when it comes to our closest trading partners.

Can you give some examples please. So far nobody has managed to do so.

So a good thing about the EEA is that the UK will no longer be subject to the European Court of Justice but will instead be subject to the Court of Justice of the European Free Trade Association States (Rue du Fort Thuengen, 1499 Luxemburg City, Luxembourg).
