That's where the problems start for some people.

Some people get addicted to Internet pron and keep clicking from page to page, it's not the images that they are chasing - it's the dopamine (dopamine gives you the exciting feeling that something very enjoyable is just around the corner).

Probably if you are an addict then cold turkey is best. But in principal I think the problems are caused by Internet pron, not pron per se.

Saying that, I think it's all bad for your spirit.

And as others said, masturbation in moderation is healthy.
You are right. Prostitutes are best. At least until those female sex robots come online.

All short term gratification is bad for you in the long run. Delayed gratification is where it's at.

Friction burns from those rubber dolls will be the new "smoking related illness" in 2040.

Whose signature is that anything fun is inherently dangerous?

Ultimately, happiness is a very false state. Contentment is far better.

I agree. Short term gratification is fun, but you have to be able to control yourself and a lot of people can't.

Happiness is a hard to define thing - until you become really unhappy - and then you realise what happiness is. Absence of unhappiness!

Stoicism is something I've read a bit about in the red pill of all places...

            So far I've given up:
            • smoking
            • drugs
            • drinking
            • pr0n
            • video gaming

There is an underlying addictive personality there that I'm forceably weaning onto fitness, music and trading. Will see how that works out...

Good one for cracking all those. Hope you don't go back to them. Or worse, go back to them and combine them in a massive binge. Thus is the modus operandi of the addict.

I wouldn't get into trading if you have an addictive thing. Trading at home is basically gambling. And that's addictive.

The way forward from addiction is self discipline. Start with fitness and nutrition.

              Cheers

I gave up smoking 29 8 years ago. Coffee 10 years ago. Drinking 6 years ago.

The only one I miss is smoking.
