What, doing something like leaving so we can make our own trade agreements instead of having to wait over a decade for the EU to come up with a 'one size fits all' solution?

I'm not Left/Right/Centre when it comes to politics, ultimately there are more important issues which Brexit proved. When I vote I just ask myself "Which party, that has a realistic chance of winning, would be best for the country overall?"

And in Labour/Korbyns case, that was a definitely, definitely, not him. The man is Socialist throwback form another era (ostensibly the "workers" party, but now largely representing people on benefits wanting a bigger handout) and the thought of him being at the helm sent a shiver down my spine.

26% CT?! Go Korbyn! that'll get the economy going!

So just out of interest do you want to leave the single market and the customs union i.e. a hard Brexit. Or more like a Norway model i.e. a soft Brexit?
        Hard Brexit now!

In the year since the referendum, all that has happened is that after 9 months the PM finally triggered article 50.
All that has been done is a vote to leave.
There are no new trade agreements
          There is no plan
There are only the pipe dreams of various people, and in terms of the government they can't even agree amongst themselves, so how are they going to be able to negotiate something with other countries?

              FTFY.

With the current shower in charge, the UK would be stuffed even if the referendum had gone the other way.

Actually there was a very expensive trip made by Fox et. al. to Asia a few months ago. They came back with nowt.
Well actually India said, increase Indian immigration and we'll see.
The problem is that on its own, Britain is responsible for about 3% of the world's economy, so bigger players have more leverage.
                Hard Brexit now!

But you consider the Tory way of 0% Tax if you're really big business, and screw the small businesses?
...because we daren't tax big businesses in case they leave the country.

I would have a tiny amount more respect for the current government if they applied the tax laws to all businesses, but hey ho, that will never happen, and believing it should makes me an evil bad pinko commie in your books.

that's try TO get, not try AND get.

you can be summed up with elegant simplicity though:

AFAIK the UK isn't allowed to negotiate new trade agreements until we've come out of the EU in 2019. That said I'd be fairly confident there are various meetings going on in the background now to facilitate the fast tracking of a raft of such, once that time comes.

Fundamentally business leaders (and politicians!) want to make money, they'll be lobbying the government to get agreements in place quickly post-Brexit. This will obviously be a lot quicker than going through the quagmire that is the EU.
