And if you're comparing the results of German versus British and US bombing you really need to go back and study your history. There was no comparison. We did a MUCH better job.

Just pointing out that 'we' had knocked out the XK120 by 1948. There wasn't a link - I didn't see any need for one.

Blasted shoddy '70s British manufacturing. I bet it was a British Leyland link

The car I most regret getting rid of? My Rover 420, which had the best toastiest interior heating of any car I ever had.

Technically speaking, I didn't get rid of it. The driver who ploughed into the back of me at a traffic lights did, and nearly got rid of me in the process! But in fairness I hadn't been driving long and had floored the brakes on account of the changing lights and one of those new fangled traffic cameras that had just been installed.

My dad had an Evo6 tommi makinnen

Limited edition number 304 of 1000 iirc.

Told him not to sell it but to store it as it would only go up in value as it only had like 25000 on the clock and he only put 3000 a year on it.

He traded it for an evo10.

He got about 8k for it.

My first car - Escort Mark 2 1974
                Then Capri Ghia

The only other one I miss is the Peugot 406 - the kids loved it. Especially 135 mph down Wrotham Hill windows down....

I loved my little Polo GTI, a diddy pocket rocket. Sadly someone else thought otherwise, drove into it and wrote it off.

Was it a hit and run or did their insurance pay up?

Had a Golf GTI 8valve, naturally aspirated. Lovely full leather interior. Colour concept one - yellow.
