France isn't expensive- we're poorer than we were 2 years ago.

Maybe you would find the majority of Brits were a lot less disrespectful if you weren't such a whining judgmental c0cksocket though?

      Just a suggestion.....

hah, I've found a mixture of manners in France, some incredibly helpful people and the odd rude person. Again, pretty much like the UK.

It annoys me when we have this self-bashing that goes on - really don't know why people are so ready to self loathe.

Was wondering when someone was going to point out the obvious.

£1.40 to the euro was not that long ago. Now we're approaching parity. That's almost a 30% drop as the result of the Brexiters combined wth the EU economy now succeeding. And the Tourist blames France. Unbelievable.

Low self-esteem and over-developed guilt complexes methinks.

              I blame the Bliar/Brown consortium.

Mind you it will make shopping in France / Germany cheap in 2 years time
If I want high class restaurant food, I'll go to France. I've been to some very good places in Switzerland. Generally around 150CHF = £120 for the food. In Davos, we got charged 14CHF/£11 for a litre of mineral water (and I'm sure they just filled the bottle from the stream out the back). In France you might pay the same for the food, but it'd be twice as good.

Frankly though, the best value meal I've had for a long time was £5 for cod and chips in Alnwick this summer. Yum.

But how much would the flights be to Northern England?

She is not pointing out the obvious, she is misunderstanding the situation. No exchange rate involved.

This is a Euro on Euro comparison a few years ago something cost 4 Euros now they cost 6 Euros so for all of you that think its down to Brexit please put on a Dunce's hat.

However the point I made was many goods for sale in France are cheaper in the UK now even after our devaluation.

Obviously spooter you got confused because you think the SNP budgets make sense and you are about as financially literate as my cat.
