                  Most public pools are 20-25ft so this is about the same. You don't need the width when there's only one person in. Although one of those swimming treadmills is quite an interesting idea if you actually just want to do lengths? A neighbour used to have one right over the fence, always surprising when you went to open the garage and suddenly there was a nearly naked person there.
