    Pandemic!

OK, I know many on here loathe the BBC and everything they do, but they are carrying out an experiment about a pandemic, starting today. If you download the app, it will anonymously track your movements over a 24 hour period, the more people who download it, the better the results.
The scientific researchers are trying to see how a flu virus would spread through the country and maybe come up with ideas on how to stop the spread

There’s an app for Android & iPhone.

...and if you live in Haselmere, they are doing a 72 hour study.

Well, firstly they’d have to request it and get all the permissions to do so and then they’d have to interpret it.
By doing it using an app they can get the relevant information direct from the phones of those who sign up

I wonder how long it will be before computer viruses start to infect people.

I was working for a company associated with pharmaceuticals when the swine flu epidemic broke out. Some of the briefings were rather worrying. Fortunately, it turned out to be not so bad. Just 25000 extra deaths worldwide.

Old Brexiters (and old remainers) are in the demographic to be killed off by a pandemic. So there will lots of people pissed off that their inheritance has gone to the cats' home.
