    Default Gone viral

I've been on Twitter for over 10 years. Posted a few tweets in my time that have had a few dozen likes or retweets, nothing special. So I reposted a funny picture I saw on Facebook on Twitter last night, assumed it was old news and that most people would have seen it, got a few likes and retweets, didn't give it much thought.

When I went to bed it was approaching 100 likes - a record, but still, whatever...

Woke up this morning and likes and retweets had trebled, I reckon I'll hit 1000 likes and 500 retweets by tonight. My Twitter notification feed is basically useless. I can literally sit here and watch the like counter go up in real time. It's all a bit weird. Considering I nicked the damn thing in the first place, I feel a bit sheepish about it.

I had to share. I’m quite bemused by the whole thing. Where will this nonsense end?

    are you getting any follows?
Likes and retweets are worthless. Follows can be sold.

I have a few thousand followers but you’re right, retweets and likes don’t translate to new followers.
