The distribution of mass shootings in the USA appears to be normal for a given 4-year term (equal to presidency sitting?) with increasing Poisson distribution over time - you could almost count down to the week of the highest probability when a shooting will occur. This chart suggests we'll see at least a 100 people killed in a single shooting before 2020.

So you're saying it's both a Normal AND a Poisson distribution?
And what's an "increasing Poisson distribution over time"?

        Hard Brexit now!

It would be easier to just acclimatise to the local cretinscape.

More likely it was someone who could not sleep due to all the noise from the country music. In fact the CUK Insomnia thread might provide clues as to who it could be.

Hey steady on! I was catching up on Chess moves and twitter. Honest Gov'nor.

Seems like the local loon gone completely "postal". They'll be condolences, and ooh this is awful. But automatic weapons will not be banned. I'm a big fan of USA but this is the one thing that I can't get my head around.

The shooter, who killed 50 people and injured hundreds, converted to Islam “few months ago” and conducted the attack on behalf of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), Reuters reports, citing terrorist group’s news agency.
