Why do we still use fridges in winter? Illogical. A box in the garden would do the same job and save energy.

Not if you are in the SE.

It can be over 10 Celsius in the first week of December.

The real question on everyones lips - how do we know for sure the light goes out when we close the door?
“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

    No no no.

You take all the shelves out, climb inside and shut the door.

Fridges indirectly heat the rest of the kitchen, which is handy in winter.

Also, out in the garden a "box" would be at risk of being raided by squirrels and foxes.
