    If you do some research into Helmut Khol, he went on record to state that one of the key drivers for the integration was the German Car market was concerned it was loosing market share to Fiat. They are not about to make all their cars more expensive to the largest external market.

      Why is pointing out that industry will not accept what the unelected EU council wants, bashing Germany? I think they are spot on. The EU is there to promote trade not gurgle great swathes of cash down a plug hole and act like the school bully...

      What the EU wants and its member states are diverged and this is proving it...

        The EU negotiation demanding more money for the UK 'divorce settlement' before they'll consider moving talks on to trade is so they can use that money to subsidise Germany car manufacturers post brexit.
        Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

          Don't be bloody silly... The only thing the EU subsidises is itself. When they are talking about bar bills they are not far from the truth...
