Offshore law firm data hack leaves super-rich bracing themselves for financial details to be released | The Independent

Bermuda-based Appleby, which has offices in a number of British overseas territories, said some of its data had been “compromised” in the 2016 cyber incident.

According to Appleby's website, its experts advise global public and private companies, financial institutions, and “high net worth” individuals.

Through offices in Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Mauritius and the Seychelles, it helps clients “achieve practical solutions, whether in a single location or across multiple jurisdictions”.

Just in time for the Autumn budget where the likes of us will be shamed and accused of 'denying the public purse'

Sadly after the initial "storm" caused by the Panama papers, it was all swept under the rug and nothing really happened. I don't imagine it will be much different this time.

Sure, but the government should be supporting SMEs like honest contractors, so a priority must be to deal harshly with those contractors who have been using dodgy 'schemes', lowering their cost base and allowing them to undercut honest contractors.
