    That's how it trickles down.

It's not free money it's money which is available to be earned.
Only yesterday you were saying you wouldn’t mind 75000 bankers moving out of London.
    Make up your mind.

What’s more useful when dealing with different cultures is to look at prototypes instead. A prototype is an original model which is subject to modification and improvement. In cultural terms, it’s a central tendency, while the stereotype is the assumption that all members of the culture are the same.

        hmmm

are you assuming only some of the Asylum seekers will be rich at the point of entry and won't need social support? I wonder where you get that idea from?

You are assuming the super rich will spend sufficient amounts of their money here to create plenty of jobs without the British taxpayer subsidising them.

Oh and if you bother to study economics you will understand why trickle down is discredited.

You seem obsessed with other people's wives.
Perhaps if you got yours to lose some weight, you might find her more interesting?
Or a facelift, maybe? Or perhaps get her an education?

But then she'd be out of his league.

                    Indeed.
The problem in the UK is that a vast amount of wealth is tied in properties. That doesn’t circulate.
Trickle down doesn’t work with fixed assets.

I forget what percentage of London property is bought by foreign investors but it's a huge and scary number. I dont know enough about property and property law to comment fully but, one would assume that if a Russian billionaire bought up a load of London flats, they would effectively be outside of the "UK Economy" after point of sale? (guessing rental tax would be paid to the UK though?)
