I'd like a simple (?) browser add-on that one could use to toggle scripting of a page off and back on, which includes disabling links and halting video playback, i.e. completely stopping the page in its tracks.
That way I can scan through the Daily Mail online main page without the perishing thing automatically refreshing itself when I'm half way through, or me accidently clicking a link or having distracting videos (mostly ads) playing away in the background pinching half the CP timeWork in the public sector? All of my essential ones, including NOSCRIPT
And if a plugin you like is no longer under active development, then it's already horrendously insecure so you're better off without it.
EDIT to add: according to https://noscript.net/ the updated version of NoScript will be available "as soon as possible, even later today if we're lucky enough" so a little patience should see you throughLast edited by NickFitz; 14 November 2017, 19:05.Comment

I daresay there's plugins that can do what you want: have a look on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/Comment
