I am in the process of gaining weight ready for May.

Was at 13st 11lbs when I weighed myself a few days ago, I started trying to gain when I was 13st 4lb I think, or something like that) and still managed some hand stand pressups this lunchtime (yes, I know I mentioned that at every chance I get, I don't care I am over the moon with it!!!!).

I'm on my 2nd week of intermittent fasting

          doing 16/8

i.e. I have my last meal at around 18:30, then don't eat again until 12pm the following day, just have water / tea coffee etc

it's a piece of Pee really, all I'm essentially doing is skipping breakfast and avoiding snacking in the evenings

whilst in the office and commuting snacking is also limited so I'm not piling on the calories during the 8 hours of meals

think I'm losing weight but need a few more days on scales to verify

just trying to buy myself some xmas bingeing

For the last 4 months it's been the 20-25% calorie deficit cut version of this diet, now going into the gradual increase using this diet, until I'm at 10% surplus of the flexible but with a different macro split to the cutting one.

Until April when I'll go back to cut again building up to Summer.

I'm enjoying 'newbie gains' - even on a cutting diet, which is nice... Hopefully I'll put on a couple of KG over the next few months but hopefully not too much fat. I did leg day this morning at 6 am before coming to work, seems to be the only time I can get a decent amount of time in the gym without too many people on the barbell rack.

I've looked at this as well. saving as the nuclear option for next cut as I'm down to the last bit of 'stubborn' belly fat that is very hard to shift. I train fasted in the mornings which is quite hard but the preworkout I use does the trick without breaking the fast. Are you lifting heavy as well as IF?

                  not lifting a finger

doing zero exercise other than a few squats and push up sets at home

that's the next routine I need to get into

Ah, the barbell rack - constant source of joy!

I have sorted out my lower back so I can hit the compounds again (it has been playing up badly since last November). Currently my push press pb is higher than my backsquat ... which just feels wrong ...
