We Have Lost Seat On International Court of Justice To...

    an Indian judge.

    linky

The UK has lost its seat on the International Court of Justice for the first time since its creation in 1946.

Christopher Greenwood, the current British judge, was running for re-election to serve a second nine-year term - but withdrew from the race after facing a run-off vote against India's Dalveer Bhandari.

Although Mr Greenwood had a majority among the UN Security Council, Mr Bhandari won the most backing in the General Assembly - with the Indian judge's popularity seen to be increasing as support for the Briton diminished.

Based at The Hague, the UN court has 15 members and its job is to settle disputes between countries.

I expect the UK will also lose their seat on UN Security Council, soon we will be a small insignificant nation

You seem completely unaware that most Commonwealth countries have based their democratic institutions on UK ones.

You need to expand that answer. A judge from the UK has lost his place to an Indian Judge, but the Indian judge democratic institutions are based on the UK ones. And?

As Paddy pointed out the UK is now becoming an insignificant nation on the world stage. This means we will be ignored when it comes to things like conflict resolution in and between countries, and people in the UK won't be invited to see if foreign elections are free and fair. All this stuff is linked to trade ties with other nations.

Im proud the UK has been at the fore front of helping other nations or populations in need, whether that be economic, political, food or even military intervention when needed.

But, if the rest of the world thinks we are no longer needed or relevant enough for them, Im happy to scale back that assistance and begin to look after ourselves as the first priority.

No-one dared to upset the UK because the EU would have been down on them like a ton of bricks, now they've told their big mate to f*** the UK will become the number one kicking stool.
