It's hard when you have a one size fits all system. And you feel guilty and responsible. And you can't see how things are going to work out in a good way.

But your lad is still young - so there's a chance to learn yourselves and teach him to manage his condition, and take advantage of the many positives. There is support and recognition that it's not 'bad parenting' now - but you have to fight to get it. I met your son briefly a couple of years' ago, and he seemed charming, bright and delightful - I genuinely liked him, and I'm sure you will find teachers who can get the best out of him.

I wish you luck, and if you need a sounding board, I'm just down the road.

Our local school here brings in special teachers for students that require extra assistance rather than sending them elsewhere. As their prospectus puts it 'catering for a diverse group which reflects our society', or so is my translation.
Its called divide and conquer .

    The ultimate form of control.

What cannot be named on this forum is another fine example

In Wales, money meant for schooling and health has been spent on the Welsh language instead.

Schools are losing teachers and TAs.

If it carries on, baby bp will go to a specialist autistic school. Which will cost them ALOT more money.....
