    Rio Advice

    Hello everyone

I am starting in January on a "hopefully" long term contract , but then again I was on the IBM/RBS contract and some will probably know how that ended

Any tips about Rio would be useful, anyone out there at the moment ? I would like to find somewhere to share for the first month or so until payday !! I have worked in Brazil a lot in the 1990s/2000s and speak the Lingo, also visited Peru and Argentina so know the accents etc

I used to be on here a lot many many years ago, and recognise a few old names !

The site has expanded a lot and I will probably spent all the next few weeks getting info from here.

Cheers for now, or should that be à sua saúde

It's a lovely place on the surface.

But do not go wandering off into the 'hoods' on your own.

You will get robbed and shot.

Make sure you get first class travel expenses.

Can we all pop down and visit at carnival time?

Apparently Rio is quite popular for certain people: https://www.amazon.com/Transsexual-T.../dp/B01M30MV2C
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

                Indeed.
I was there 12 years ago, and sitting on a bench on Copacabana beach a bloke sat down next to me and said "I have a gun - give me your money!"

I walked away, at which point I was shot dead.

                #OK I wasn't really..
