    Companies house sense of humour

    Nicked from Twitter. @qikipedia

Proposed company names rejected by Companies House in 2017 include Blue Arsed Fly Designs Ltd, Fanny's Kebabs Ltd, Sugartits Ltd, Manwhore Limited, Sod it Systems Limited, Cocktease Fashion Ltd and Go Doggy LLP.
I’m surprised that Fanny couldn’t get her kebab shop named correctly.

I wonder what SIC code the potentially erotic business names come under? I couldn't find anything suitable in the SIC code PDF with a quick ctrl+f!

        Although it's probably:
        90010 Performing arts
91030 Operation of historical sites and buildings and similar visitor attractions
91040 Botanical and zoological gardens and nature reserves activities
93290 Other amusement and recreation activities n.e.c.

        86220 Specialists medical practice activities
        86900 Other human health activities
88100 Social work activities without accommodation for the elderly and disabled
88990 Other social work activities without accommodation n.e.c.

Or maybe just under section A or B

Interestingly (or not) the nearest I could get to my earlier joke code is:
        69203 Tax consultancy
Ironic that code is about f'ing us over?

It's even worse - they're f'ing us at the same time we have to fellate them!

PAH, they're not trying hard enough. I had a previous contractor Ltd that friends pronounced 'eat tulip* ltd'.

Didn't realise it phonetically sounded like that when naming it. Shame as I thought it was quite catchy when pronounced as I intended. Ended up renaming it before the name stuck. Then closed down when IR35 came about. No retrospective tax bollox to worry about now.

            *not tulip.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

My contractor company was called XXX Services Ltd. Never seemed a great name after IR35.

So was my very first Ltd*, bought off the shelf when it took a lot longer to set up a new company than present day so was best of a bad bunch of names, and before PSCs became a target for HMRC.

                  * I've not had that many.

                    Is Reach Around Limited taken?

Or is that reserved for HMRC?
