    Why are alleged molesters named?

Harpist sex case accuser denies he made it up | Daily Mail Online

Royal musician Danielle Perrettis accused of a string of sexual offences against the man when he was a teenager in the 1980s.

Its a serious accusation. The accuser remains anonymous. Why should the alleged molester not be?

Though we should be told how much both their houses are worth....

It's a serious accusation indeed, but when was the DM interested in innocent until proven guilty? All it wants to do is say anything that will create money for its tax-dodging owners and help its worshippers believe it even more.
Give it a day or two and it might print an apology.

Here's another example (with the apology from 4 days later):
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Why should the molester not be? You don't get anonymity for murder, arson and other serious crimes?

I think he meant the person claiming to have been molested, not the molester. Certainly the link appears to say that.
