Idiotic IPSE survery for IR35 public sector

    https://www.ipse.co.uk/our/research/...9adb-317952797

Previously I operated via limited but latest gig is Inside IR35 PS. So great though I - a survey where I can give feedback etc.
BUT if you operate under umbrella you don't get to to the survey. WTF?

As mentioned, I had ltd company and had every intention of using this, despite IR35 rules. I looked into it and, to be honest, it was just too much hassle. The agency weren't keen either (not that its a problem!). It was MUCH easier to just use an umbrella....

I fully expect a lot of people came to the same conclusion as me. Yet we're excluded from this survey. Surely this is something that IPSE should be interested in? People who've had to change around.

Makes me wonder what planet IPSE are on? Perhaps they'll realise that they don't many results from people performing inside IR35 gigs that they've worked out the same as me.

    Completely nuts.....

Not everything needs to go into Business/contracts ...

The moral of the story is - don't take inside IR35 gig in PS like PC did...

Depends if you trust pensions as a long term investment, so take the PS IR35 gig, get a 30-50% rate uplift to cover the hassle, and plonk as much of it as you can (£40k per year as basic rule) into a pension via a brolly and 'salary sacrifice' thus avoiding (but not evading ) more tax than if they hadn't bothered with all the IR35 PS nonsense in the first place.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

                  EXACTLY.....

Take each gig/rate/IR35 position on its own merits....
