    So Greece, remember them?

Nasty EU strikes again... there's a few in Whitehall that would love for the UK to have those headlines. Funny old world. Not until the housing bubble pops I'll wager.

    Greek economy speeds up

    A 10-year high in manufacturing

At the same time, the manufacturing sector in Greece entered the first month of the year at a rapid pace, while business conditions improved to a maximum of 10 years, Markit points out.

As the company says, growth in Greece has been boosted by strong demand from both the domestic and foreign markets. This encouraged companies to increase the number of employees at the fastest pace recorded in the history of (this conducted) research, contributing, in turn, to another significant increase in production.

UK manufacturing output at its highest for 10 years - BBC News

UK manufacturing output is expanding at its fastest rate since early 2008 after recording a seventh consecutive month of growth in November.

Renewable energy projects, boats, aeroplanes and cars for export helped make output 3.9% higher in the three months to November than in 2016.

Official figures also show industrial output rose by 0.4% in November.

But woohoo's response to the opening post was better than your brainfart. Even though I'm not entirely convinced that scoots can actually do better.

Good post lots of Telegraph journalists in the past preaching that Greece couldn't possible recover without leaving the Euro. In fact they preached that neither Ireland, Italy, Portugal or Spain could possible avoid leaving the Euro.

They were wrong, lets just remember that. They seem to have finally given up predicting the imminent demise of the Euro.
