    KFC Closures

“Chickens are coming home to roost”, says GMB.

Despite the job losses, someone still has a sense of humour there

Yet another example of large companies making poor decisions to 'save money' and yet it'll cost them more in the long run. It's the same in IT when firms outsource thinking it's more cost effective and yet end up paying the price with poor software and constant budget overrun.

I do wonder at what point on the management ladder you get a brain transplant that makes it a good decision to go with the lowest bidder even when there is plenty of evidence that it's a stupid move. Surely not all senior execs are born stupid?

        They don't care.

Even if the finger of blame points at someone on the board and they leave that same person will be on a different board earning a six figure salary because they 'have experience at that level'

In effect there are no repercussions for bad decisions for the person making them.

Obviously the many people who will lose their jobs feel the repercussions but hey exec man doesn't give a fook about them.

What's the betting DHL left a "Sorry we missed you..." card, inviting them to collect their chicken from the nearest depot?

What's the betting it was decided by some ambitious, pushy new "distribution manager" out to make a name for themself?

Maybe DHL's systems don't have bucket as a valid unit of measurement.

Its the same with certain "failed" Premier managers, they save a club from relegation possibly once, that means they get jobs from another five or six clubs on the strength of that, regardless of outcome. You can see how desperate Chairman are not to get relegated from the cash cow that is the premier league

We desperately need the Donald to rescue us with his chlorinated chicken - this is a catastrophe!

Quick money making scheme here running deliveries at inflated prices from a town with a KFC open to one next door that doesn't. People got to get their KFC gravy fix.
