What is there to find? They wrote a book about it - I'm not reading that. Liberal bias in universities needs drawing attention to IMO. They are attacking free speech and it's government funded...

You may have noticed that other threads in this forum are going on about the propaganda against Russia and Corbyn. No doubt there is news spin and bias, and even political shenanigans, but it doesn't mean that Russia isn't pretty vicious at times, nor that Corbyn isn't being disingenuous.

In a similar way that fact that some university students, encouraged by some of the staff, are attacking free speech, and universities don't seem to be doing much about it, doesn't mean that Campus Reform isn't a propaganda machine. It just happens to be the kind that you confirms what you already know to be true.

Post-modernism used to be an exclusively lefty phenomenon, promoted by sociologists and the like who weren't clever enough to be physicists or mathematicians.
Now it's been adopted by the right: Trump and Brexiters united in the fact that they think they can create their own truth by assuming there aren't any objective facts.
The West needs to understand a brutal truth - its dominance is based on the superiority that objectivity in science and technology brings.
The British Empire was primarily successful due to having the Maxim gun.
Now the West is abandoning what made it strong - rational objectivity - and the East is taking on those ideas.

If these geek characters' unwitting sexism is a deliberate aspect of the humour, then that is an implicit criticism of it by the writers.

Must say I've never watched TBBT because humour based on rapid fire word play doesn't really appeal to me, especially when delivered in squawky Yank accents.
