    Contractor Gender Pay Gap Discussion

Looking at headline on CUK today about the lack of gender pay gap was interesting.

Seems like pretty handy evidence that no pay gap exists when some or all of the following apply:

    a. When experienced contractors (male or female) know their market rate
    b. When work is project/task related and require completion within strict deadlines
    c. When a completely fair comparison is made between equivalent contract roles (male/female)
    d. When the contractor is adept at negotiation
    e. When a business to business relationship exists between client and supplier.

Clearly, particularly in STEM fields, this country would be more competitive in terms of output if there were more women seeking this type of work, but https://www.contractoruk.com/news/00...r_pay_gap.html
seems reasonable evidence that rather than a gender pay gap, there exists a gender earnings gap in the permanent sector.
