    The ten worst areas for ESA claimants due to alcohol misuse are:

    (Area and the number of people claiming due to alcohol misuse (% of all ESA claimants)

    Bournemouth 410 (4.57 per cent)
    Edinburgh 930 (4.55 per cent - (suburb of England really)
    Aberdeen 390 (4.5 per cent) - (oil workers, you know what they're like.)
    Glasgow 2,280 (4.49 per cent)
    Blackpool 480 (4.29 per cent)
    Portsmouth 340 (4.12 per cent)
    Lancaster 240 (4.01 per cent)
    N Somerset 310 (3.94 per cent)
    W Dunbartonshire 240 (3.82 per cent)
    Renfrewshire 370 (3.67 per cent) - not surprised
