Default How to get a £1,000,000 pay rise

How on earth has BT chief earned a £1 million pay rise? | Daily Mail Online

BT boss Gavin Patterson’s pay rocketed to £2.3million – even as his company lays off 13,000 staff to repair battered finances.

The amount the 50-year-old took home leapt 72 per cent in the last financial year, including an annual bonus of £1.3million and pension contributions of nearly £300,000.

There was one in Private Eye recently where a company that provides "care" for the elderly said they couldn't afford to £10M required to properly staff overnight shifts. The CEO was paid £30M the previous year.
Hmm. I'm beginning to suspect that you need to find all the packing the computer came in...

It's almost as if privatising everything doesn't lead to improvements, just creates wealth for CEOs and shareholders.

Are you saying that capitalism doesn't work or that we must accept capitalism works perfectly and the excellent results are worse service and less efficiency?
