Old Greg - In search of acceptance since Mar 2007. Hoping each leap will be his last. -
The solution is gender neutral job applications and interviews. Age neutral too so those that need to work into old age don't get discriminated against.
Would mean using a third party such as a recruitment agency to receive the applications and remove sensitive information before passing on to the company offering the job. Interview would be done remotely over phone with voice distortion seen in movies so can't easily identify gender by pitch of voice.
Sorted.Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.Comment

So in this case, if the panel that selected a man for the committee had been mostly men, I imagine by now there would have been a public apology and a reassessment of the selection process.Comment
