I only said they were the oldest league club. Sheffield FC, founded in 1857. Hallam FC played them in the first recorded football derby in 1860.

They are still in existence, in tier 8 of the football pyramid.

Watching the Belgium and French teams, see that energy?! England will have to put up a fight and then some to get past either.
“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

I reckon France will win the tournament. They appeared to have as much energy at the end of the game as they started it + their defence was tighter than Fort Knox.

But in the context of "it's coming home", we are talking about International football as opposed to domestic Club football.
And bearing that in mind, it could be argued that as THIS is the oldest recorded international match, "home" is, in fact, Scotland.

I hope they win and get the final. We are meant to be fighting a battle at 3pm on Sunday and if England are in the final, hopefully, no one will come to the show so we can pack up and go home early and miss out the discomfort and hassle of fighting for hours in full plate in the heat.
