The US should pay more than any nation, they want to keep their weapons in the EU to point at Russia. And that's nothing to do with protecting the EU.
Erm no, we just arrest and seize illegal fishing vessels. Eventually the message will get through.

Regarding the US, the biggest reason for peace in Europe is the US. Instead of posting spiteful, negative comments about the US, just remember that.

Tusk summarised it brilliantly yesterday when he said that the US should appreciate their allies because they don't have many. Right now, it seems the US has two allies, the grovelling UK and the vile Netanyahu. The world should work together to ostracise the US, economically targeting, wherever possible, strongly pro-Trump states, until they get rid of this utter f@£$£king b£$@ard.

Now he's accusing Germany of being controlled by Russia for buying their gas from them and allowing the new pipeline.

Then he will see Vlad on Friday who he wants to 'get along' with. So 'obsolete' NATO now needs everyone else to pay more into so we can 'get along' with Russia.

It would be funny if it wasn't so depressing.

It's Donald Trump not the US.

Donald Trump is a draft dodger and has made no contribution whatsoever to peace in Europe.

Germany has the EU's biggest economy and has long been accused by US administrations of failing to contribute its fair share to Nato operations but Mr Trump was particularly stinging.

"Ultimately Germany will have almost 70% of their country controlled by Russia with natural gas, so you tell me - is that appropriate?" he asked at Wednesday's breakfast meeting with Mr Stoltenberg.

"Germany is totally controlled by Russia because they will be getting from 60 to 70% of their energy from Russia, and a new pipeline, and you tell me if that's appropriate because I think it's not and I think it's a very bad thing for Nato."

Germany has given political support for a new Baltic Sea pipeline, Nord Stream 2, which will increase the flow of Russian gas to EU states. The project has been sharply criticised by Poland and others.

Mr Trump went on to accuse Germany of only spending "a little bit over 1%" of its economic output on defence compared to the 4.2% spent by the US "in actual numbers".
