Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Tens of thousands of people “grassed up” neighbours they suspected were evading tax last year, Telegraph Money can reveal.

Figures released in response to a Freedom of Information request show that 40,695 people called HM Revenue & Customs’ tax evasion hotline in 2017-18, more than double the 20,200 reports of the previous year.

The taxman paid out £343,500 to informants in financial rewards for reporting suspicious activity, last year.

Fiona Fernie, a dispute specialist at accountants Blick Rothenberg, said: “There will be a huge mixture of things.

That'll explain the flurry of posts on the tax dodgers thread then

          Please document them here.

I know of 4 arson attacks this year (Kurds vs. Turks), a pipe bomb in 2016 set by a white winger in a mosque, a couple of small ones (one in a Sikh temple) in 2016 which resulted in one death, one in 2015 (no deaths) and then all the way back to 2004 with, again no deaths and set by right wingers...

Oh so if the police are lucky it doesn't count?

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_Germany

            Freital 2015
            Essen 2016
            Ansbach 2016
            Dresden 2016

I ignored the repeated knife/axe attacks and the Arson attacks against Turkish targets.

It does seem to be a worry when you think Germany is safer.

Those are the ones I mentioned, how many people killed compared to the UK?

2 bombings were right wingers (white people), 1 was an attack on a Sikh temple and the only fatality in one of them committed by an immigrant was the perpetrator.

I do think Germany is safer, I am always worried when going to the UK but primarily from the white people and their increasingly bigoted views. Last time we were over, Frau D. was called a nazi when we were conversing in German and I got numerous ****** and nazi salutes when driving. England is the only place where I've sat in a pub and seen someone stabbed and another have their throat cut...

ouch that is unpleasant, I have never seen someone stabbed or their throat slit. Beaten nearly to death, yes.

Unfortunately most Brits don't understand how Germany went mad in the 30s and even their part in 1914, I did start to understand when I spoke to a couple of Iraqi's who explained that they kept their head down when their neighbours disappeared. I still don't understand it all, I doubt I ever will.

As our Grandfathers fought their Grandfathers and so did theirs you can understand how difficult it is to understand and forgive. But I believe most Brits want to.
