This is a good choice imo. My brother got a 2010 closing to 160k miles without major issue. We will be working on it right after we finished installing the <<spam>> on his current pick up truck project. The Mondeo's been a great family car for him and maintains good fuel efficiency.
SQ7, because diesel engines are killing Mother Earth
HTH
What planet are you on? The diesel engine is not killing mother earth. It is the use of diesel (along with petrol) fuel that is the problem. A diesel engine, particularly an old diesel engine (the use of modern fuel filters is the problem in modern diesel engines) will run on practically any liquid fuel that is combustible. That includes bio-fuel (bio-diesel if you like) made from rape seed oil, or any cooking oil will do. So, if you want to solve the problem of diesel oil fuel (made from crude oil) then why not petition the government , and the fuel companies, to invest in the production of bio-fuels instead of killing the planet with the production of batteries from rare and expensive metals.
Anyone that states that diesel engines are a problem is talking absolute tulip.
