Yemen air strike: The school that's lost 42 children

Try watching this video without bottom lip quiver. Imagine if that was your local school.

You may well remember - the pictures were hard to forget - the scene in Yemen in August when dozens of schoolchildren and adults were killed in an airstrike. The strike was carried out by a coalition - led by Saudi Arabia and backed by the US, the UK and France. They are supporting Yemen's government against the Houthi rebels - backed by Iran.
In three years of fighting, at least 10,000 people have been killed and millions have fled their homes.
Our correspondent Orla Guerin - with producer Nicola Careem and cameraman Lee Durant - sent this report from Dahyan in northern Yemen.

Meanwhile.. . BAE Systems will go to the Saudi ball - No idea why the UK supports this terrorist sponsoring country.

Why are we responsible? It's Iran that should stop it's proxy war to start with.

Why do the western left support the Iranian regime anyway?

Never said we were. But why are we trading with people who see fit to fly a 15 strong team out to Turkey on a private charter to use a bone saw to dispose of their opponents?

Probably because they don't depend on MSM for their sources of information.

You know arms sales are about selling weapons?

Problem is that people who want to buy weapons aren't normally that nice.

Its like Unilateral nuclear disarmament its pointless someone else will supply the bang, what we need to do is drive a global motion to stop dealing with such people. But they have so much cash!

We may have a chance with the murder of Mr Kashoggi, lets hope our government and others grasp it.

You've got it all backwards. A string of empty platitudes towards Saudi will be the UK's response for as long as they have got something we want, oil.

Yes £6billion of arms sold to Saudi by UK weapons manufacturers. The UK has a GDP of $2.7 trillion. Selling weapons to Saudi is a skid mark on GDP.

Most of our GDP is from selling each other our houses.
