I believe that the Good Friday Agreement suggest that no permission must be granted to have a referendum in NI.

    The Edinburgh Agreement however...

The one good thing with this entire mess is that the world now can see just how destructive nationalists and anti-globalists are when they take over politics. Should hopefully be a wake-up call to voters everywhere and end the recent successes of populist demagogues in so many countries. One hopes.
“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

The prize of a hard brexit is well worth the price of a little inconvenience.

The SNP spent years carefully crafting their optimistic outlook on political change. "dinnie worry about independence lad, we have oil and all the Runrig C90s a fledgling nation could ever want".

Now it is daily Sturgeon in full pestilence mode, oblivious that she is destroying all that hard work.

The SNP spent years preparing a white paper before the referendum. Well written and easy to understand. People voted no.
The Tories used a fag packet in 5 minutes by comparison. People voted yes.
    You do the math.
