      it is really just about time we stopped doing this

      if they do not like historical books/films/plays etc being performed as they were intended then they need to go make their own.

      But do not change the ones we love.

        Seems like it’s only the snowflakes on here who are offended.

        Films have been adapted and changed all the time. Disney’s interpretations of Hans Christian Anderson’s stories are well away from the original tales.

                As for Watership Down, not really meant for young kids that haven't already learnt by way of family pets about life and death, so like the tooth fairy and crimbo, some things are not meant to be learnt too soon. Let them pretend the world is full of magic rainbows and unicorns for a while longer.
