    Fricking G$

Like M$ G$ has taken it upon itself to muck up my browsing experience. Busy testing some new stuff and wanted a new window but every time I open a new tab and enter the URL it gets zapped and reverts to the existing tab. Turns out the latest version of Chrome automatically de-clutters your tabs by wacking any new one that uses a URL that's identical to the URL for an existing tab. I don't want this behaviour but can I find where to turn it off or any mention of it in Google help, err no

What OS? My Chrome not doing it on Windows.

PS Know what you mean in general. Can't add an unpacked dev. extension without annoying popup, have to upload to Chrome web store. Should be possible to just do extension for your own use.

Snap. It seems to think that when clicking a link which opens in a new tab, is in fact a pop-up so you have either right click on the link and do it manually or click on the little icon in the URL bar and set it so pop-ups are allowed. Confused the hell out of me for about 10 minutes....
