        The only reason NATO expanded was because Russian neighbours deemed it the only way to protect themselves from future Russian revisionist policies.

        Turns out they were right.

        The only way to keep peace is to contain Russia using NATO

            The first thing they did right is to refuse issue citizenship to people who refused to learn their language - despite EU and Russian objections, turned out it was correct move as otherwise they would have been highjacked and unable to join NATO

            Ukraine made mistake of not doing the same and now paying very high price
