    Car is FCKED! :-(

    2010 Galaxy 120K miles so I guess it was on the cards.....

    Auto gearbox fecked. Needs new control module (dealer only) plus may new gearbox. Many £s here!

    OK. Any suggestions for short term lease/hire?

    Have you paid back the social yet for the hardship loan for the boiler? If not, see if you can play up those back problems for a motability vehicle.

        Don't believe the control module is dealer only. Somebody somewhere on the interweb will sell you one. All you have to do is fit it. You may need to buy a little box to configure the CAN bus to inform it that you have change the control module. No big shakes though.

                A 2010 car should be able to do more that 120k surely? Even a Ford.
