    “Here are three Labourish proposals.

    1) Raising the tax rate on dividend income to the same level as the tax on regular income, raising £5.9bn.”

    Obviously corp tax won’t go to zero in this case

    This is how it works in Ireland. However one man band contractors can use the equivalent of sole trader NIC rates.

      Very odd nobody, even Old Liebor does not suggest to tax dividends paid to non-resident people/legal entities, that's a load of crap - zero tax on dividends paid to offshores and massive taxation on people who live here

        All dividends are paid to shareholders. Most shares are owned by pension funds.
        Sounds like an unintended consequence to me.
