    Boom (not work related)

House on market at the moment. We have (we had) 2 acres of garden including a little lake for the ducks. Put the house on the market and a neighbour who attaches to the garden on one side (through a wooded section) knocked on door and asked if he could buy some of the land.

Well, why not we thought. Came up with an over the top figure and he said yes! Woo hoo ... nice 6 figure sale Completion took place today and bank balance is looking even more healthy

We put a clause in contract that the neighbour can't do anything with the land (apart from use as garden) whilst we own the property to protect us.

Just need to sell the house now which still sits on a 1/2 acre plot so should still be a good garden for somebody ..... it's a bit slow out there though

Edited to '6' figure as I'm an idiot

7 figures for 1.5 acres of garden? As in, over a million quid? Bloody hell.

    Nice.

Nice! But I do hope you first investigated how much it would increase the value of the house to sell it as a unit....
