Yep, they are strict on refugees but less so on migrants.

I think the general idea is to have a points system that's tailored to the UK. Whatever we have now just doesn't work.

The UK already has a points system, making it more like Australia would let even more migrants in so you need to find another example of a points systems that lets less people in.

    Good luck with that.

The fact that Boris wants to copy the Australian points system means he's going to flood the place with immigrants.
    I'm alright Jack

Are you really that mentally challenged, that you can't see - the PBS is based off demand for skills/occupations, therefore it can go up or down, depending on the circumstances...

Anyway, as long as the PBS applicant limit is lower than 'unlimited FoM', then the PBS 'lets in less EU immigrants than before', as you put it.

    You absolute cretin

PS. The UK only applies a PBS to Non-EU applicants, if Boris gets his way, it will be ALL applicants.
(He literally said apply a PBS, to slow the influx of low-skilled EU workers in the article)

He just needs to make more immigrants not applicants, and job's a good 'un.

So barbers from Turkey, Nurses from Estonia, and Kitchen fitters from Poland are alright according to BJ?
“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”

It’s already a points based system, just like in Australia!

    That’s the fooking point
