Anyway, as long as the PBS applicant limit is lower than 'unlimited FoM', then the PBS 'lets in less EU immigrants than before', as you put it.

    You absolute cretin

PS. The UK only applies a PBS to Non-EU applicants, if Boris gets his way, it will be ALL applicants.
(He literally said apply a PBS, to slow the influx of low-skilled EU workers in the article)
Australia has opened its doors to low skilled migrants who are now flooding in.

You think that you can run an economy without low skilled workers.

Since EU migrants stopped coming there has been a massive influx of migrants from Asia. That will simply increase.

The fact that you've "taken back control" doesn't mean you won't be flooded with immigrants.

    I'm alright Jack

Is it possible to have better border controls if you reduce the money and number of people working for the border force?
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

So do explain how this points system will work given that the Australian system lets in twice as many migrants not to mention the flood of low skilled people.

Boris did say a points system like Australia.

Everyone then foolishly thinks this means fewer migrants. If he'd have meant that he would just have said we're going to change the UK points system to let in fewer migrants. Even Nigel Farage doesn't promise fewer migrants, his argument is that would be just as many but "better" migrants because they come from elsewhere in the world.

You're all going to be sold up the river after Brexit, because this is all about setting up low cost sweat shops to the benefit of Boris and his chums.

But Boris the Liar did not promise you that, he just promised "points based system like in Australia", and maybe that's the only promise he'll actually keep, thanks to Labour Govt who introduced it in the first place over 10 years ago (my last UK visa was points based - around 15 years ago).

Under Johnson's wise and benevolent leadership?

Remember no-one is promising fewer migrants.

                This is important.

                very important

I think a points system that restricts access to people that have the necessary skills, certain age range, certain income would be good. And enforce this.

But yep Industry would lobby government, saying they need low income workers. Asia would tie up trade deals with freeing up borders. Liberal left will cry racism.

We have low productivity in this country and a big reason is it's easier and cheaper to hire and fire low paid worked. Why invest in new tech and automation.

I joke about Johnson in the other forum that can't be named. But he is the worst possible outcome, well with the exception of Corbyn.

But these things happen when you ignore the public.

You do realise for every skilled job you have 10 low skilled jobs.

People are in cuckoo land they think Doctors can work in hospitals where the patients can't be transported in, that Engineers can build cars without an assembly line, and roads can be repaired by "Civil engineers".

"We don't need low skilled people"

                      Indeed you do.
