Default A case of sour grapes

Nigel Farage has called for Britain's ambassador to the US to be sacked after it was claimed he had described Donald Trump's White House as 'uniquely dysfunctional' and 'inept'.
Yeah, Daily Fail but it is an 'Exclusive': Nigel Farage demands Britain's man in Washington be sacked amid leaked memos row | Daily Mail Online

Sir Kim was appointed to his role in Washington several months before Mr Trump's shock ascendancy to the White House.

The appointment was subject to intense scrutiny after Mr Trump was elected after he swiftly called for Mr Farage to be the UK's man in Washington instead of Sir Kim.

In a highly unusual intervention, the president declared in a late-night tweet that Mr Farage would do a 'great job' and that 'many people' wanted to see him as the British ambassador.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Further to that, the journalist who broke the story is a 'close friend' of the Brexit Party: Profile: Isabel Oakeshott and The Bad Boys of Brexit | UK news | The Guardian

Ambassadors have a reasonable expectation of being able to speak their mind to their own government. The real story is who leaked sensitive information and for what purpose.

No surprise that Farage (and behind him, Oakeshott and Wigmore) are involved. They seem to hate the U.K. and everything it stand for.

Sometimes the electorate of an allied nation selects a leader that our civil service may not approve of. Their job is to make the best of it and await the next democratic change of the guard, not winge and wail like an old washer-woman.

It's called a diplomatic service for a reason.

Ah, of course, as Joe Kennedy did in London in 1940.

And the twat with the Arthur Scargill hairdo doesn't realise that UK ambassadors aren't political appointees unlike the afore mentioned.

Never mind, only another 5 years before the twat leaves office assuming he hasn't nuked us all by mistake.

The “diplomatic” part is to the allied nation. Their job also involves speaking truth to their own government, in confidence, based on their experiences within their positions talking to that allied nation’s representatives.

The whinging and wailing is coming from the leak, and by proxy from Farage.

The unspoken question is, if this is what the reserved British Ambassador is saying about an allied nation, what are the Ambassadors from other countries saying about the U.K. behind closed doors.... ;-)

Ambassador: Trump is an unstable snowflake.

Trump: Wah, wah! That ambassador is a stupid metropolitan elitist and I hate him!
