All I wanted to know (initially) was would my dog be able to get in the boot and was it big enough.

If they are that eager to displease for sales of their new cars, then when it comes to resolving issues or servicing, they'll be a nightmare.

I ended up buying an Audi with the same engine in it.
I've only used Porsche at Bolton, you walk in, the receptionist asks what you want and will offer you a coffee. The service staff are usually excellent but busy, explain everything including the breakdown in price. Went there for a wheel alignment, said no need, washed the car for me and saved a couple hundred quid.

But funny enough the guy that recommend Porsche Bolton, had a similar experience as you at another Porsche, either Warrington or Sheffield. Felt like he was bothering them and when he asked for a breakdown of cost for a service they got a bit huffy.

If I go for one, will probably be used one from Porsche with warranty. You can also get an extended warranty that helps also.

Porsche is the worst sales experience in the industry. Extra points for Leeds.

Also they ALWAYS manage to **** up the back of them

Forget to say try an X5 M, my clients love it. 2018 is the price sweet spot.

That said the guys at Lepert use Porsches as their daily drivers, but for them money is no object

It does have a nice look to it, but reviews for uncomfortable front seats and not much boot room have put me off a little. Plus I know Porsche service is pretty good, so that's kind of edging it for me.
What’s the point of a Maserati with a Diesel engine?

The only point of a Maserati is to buy a Ferrari engine for cheap. And then hope it doesn’t rust away in 5 years.

Don’t take it to a Porsche garage.

It’s a VW. Take it to to a trusted independent who does VWs.

That's exactly what I do with mine now. I also used Porsche Bolton as woohoo mentioned and it was very clinical, just didn't feel comfortable asking about price breakdowns, the type of work being done and options to that work. Maybe they just aren't the right place for tight bastards.

I use a specialist garage now and much more comfortable. I know dealers do it by the book and can't complain when they don't but can still be a pain. I snapped an exhaust clamp which ended up being two triangular brackets clamped together. Total relief as I thought the whole exhaust was shot, until they gave me a bill for £600 quid to fix it! Specialists would have just welded it and put it back on. Not the dealers fault per se but still annoying not been given an explanation of the fault and possible fixes.

I'd go for the Cayenne. If it's only a couple of years old keep the warranty going or negotiate an extended warranty on purchase. Once it expires then either renew it or go indy.

My Bentley has still got a factory warranty at ten years old which I've just renewed for another three years. It's just another form of breakdown insurance and way cheaper than upgrading.
...my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...

Have you looked at the Dacia Sandero Stepway? Plenty of bang for your buck there and, with prices starting from £9,195, you'll have all the kudos of driving a new 69 plate car without anyone sneering you're a flash git
