Shaun has been away training to rescue the tanker. He is currently slipping in behind enemy lines with his trusty peeler.....

Of course Shaun is now the entire UK armed forces.

The only thing "British" about it is the red duster.
He said the tankers' crews were made up of a range of nationalities but no British citizens were understood to be on board either vessel.

The Stena Impero sails under the UK flag and is registered in London.
A second British-owned Liberian-flagged tanker was boarded by armed guards but is now free to continue its journey.
That one is British under a Liberian flag.

UK was obliged to seize it due to EU sanctions.

The EU has sanctions on EU trade with Syria, it does not unilaterally impose international sanctions. Iran is not in the EU.

The US, on the other hand, does. And the U.K. has long been known to be the US’s poodle...

So again, the ship was intercepted because of EU sanctions.

Again, there are no EU sanctions that say that non-EU countries cannot trade with Syria. The sanctions covered by regulatory action by the EU cover economic operators within the EU member states.

Perhaps, though, if you want to continue with this fallacy, you could produce an alternative regulation?
