      He was fined £80 and told to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £85 after pleading guilty to the offence.

          I looked this up once, cos it annoyed me in cases like this. It goes into a general pot to be dished out to victims of crime.

            Wimmin would appear to be over-represented in those hand-out charts - are they also disproportionally more likely to be victims of crime ?
