    Very trivial but odd

I have a standard square double glazed window in my office but when the morning sun comes up over the trees behind the reflection on the lawn is of a circle with a cross on it. Anybody got any ideas why?

It looks a bit like the Heathrow Express logo (albeit not purple)

The circle is the refracted light travelling through a less dense area of leaves which are semi-transparent making a wide soft aperture. The brighter cross is the shape of the aperture caused by the edge of the leaves that happens to be cross-shaped. θ=1.22λ/D The double glassing is acting like a frosted screen. Each of the events, other than emmision, is expressed in probabilistic terms. For example, light absorption is expressed as the probability per unit time of a particle at point p travelling in the direction being absorbed.

It's either where the Leprechaun has hidden its gold, or it's where you're going to be impaled by a lightning conductor during the next storm.
