And the system travel agents used ran on Prestel, the BT teletext-over-phone-lines service.

Who will now compete with the Germans for the poolside loungers? Sad days.

Soon no-one in the UK will have money for food let alone holidays.

It must be awful being stuck on holiday. Sat around the pool knocking back the beer in the sunshine while wondering how they're ever going to get home to blighty and it's pissing down rain.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

It happened to me once (due to 9/11). Can't say I was too gutted to have an extra week in CA (which the travel company paid for)
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

So 9/11 worked out for you OK?

I’ve just done a BBC interview in Zakynthos

I said me and the wife and 5 kids had been here for 10 days due to fly back today are being held hostage in our hotel and they turned off the WiFi and my 17 year old daughter was 7 months pregnant (only let me out to buy nappies and bread - pointing to my bag ) - pointed to the hotel behind me, I said I had no idea Thomas cook had gone bust, we were on an all inclusive and they stopped feeding us around midnight last night !!! I said it was a disgrace and blamed brexit and Boris Johnston for saving the banks and not Thomas cook

Can I kind soul tape it for me if I make the 6 o’clock news - as I only arrived on Saturday - business class BA and had champagne in my bag
