It says so in the bible, so it is true, not looking if there is any evidence to support this, end of discussion
    Well, not quite.

There’s some who would say that the story of Noah occurred around the time that the Mediterranean basin flooded, not the whole globe. Historians would consider the flooding of the basin to be fact.

But if you want to discount history cause it doesn’t fit with your beliefs, that’s your call. Don’t expect people to respect you when you force your beliefs on them.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

      Not a bad statement.

As you are probably aware Jesus was a died-in-the-wool, full-fat, straight-down-the-middle Jew. He had no interest in Christianity, which wasn't invented until some time after his death. His message was simple and straightforward: "The World is going to End any minute now. Prepare yourself immediately!!" He might have argued with Jewish church officials but that cannot be construed as a rejection of Judaism.

As time ticked on, and the World didn't end, the message was somewhat diluted but he said nothing to suggest he had changed his basic beliefs.

After his death, the new 'Christian' religion failed to get any traction amongst the Jewish community, but did build support amongst Gentiles in the Mediterranean region. So it became a non-Jewish religion, and gradually anti-Jewish. A bit like being brought up to support Manchester United has now become being brought up to hate Liverpool FC, so Christianity has acquired an antipathy to Jews. Most notable is the Pontius Pilate episode where the narrative is "It wasn't (our friends) the Romans who killed Jesus; it was the Jews", which beggars belief now we have the benefit of hindsight and much better historical sources.

have you considered that this was a personal message to each and every one of us? The World does end for all of us, some sooner than others. I believe the message was, here are your life principles, many of which are difficult to attain, but striving to achieve those principles will lift your soul, or Id, if you prefer it.

Funny you should raise that. 'Id' is an invention of Sigmund Freud. Freudian Psychology was another of these bonky religions gaining incredible mindshare despite a complete lack of any evidence or logic. When I was young (not Jung) Freudian ideas were quite mainstream but I'm very glad to say they have died away a lot, and you only get a few weird people banging on about them eg Pamela Stephenson

I didn't know he influenced the film Forbidden Planet, where monsters of the Id effectively destroyed the planet Altair IV!

Nice to hear that some are still holding to that old theory of Christianity. It's good to keep the old faiths alive.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

If there was such a thing as god/s wouldn't the oldest religion be the most accurate as it was closest to creation?
So if I were you it's better to keep the old faith alive else you will end up in hell
